Matthias Zimmermann will compose your favorite original score and soundtrack. The musical career or Matthias Zimmermann began in Switzerland, where he was born and raised. he completed his studies at the Musikhochschule Fakultät I, Lucerne in organ, piano and harpsichord. In 1992 he moved to Boston, MA to pursue his passion of creating powerful music for film. Mr. Zimmermann graduated with honors from Berklee College of Music's Film Scoring Department.

Combining extensive studies of the great European composers of the centuries in Europe and acquiring the art and craftsmanship of scoring for movies in the US, Mr. Zimmermann gained an unique perspective, awareness and sensibility of both cultural and musically-speaking worlds, which is reflected in his music.

In his senior year at Berklee College of Music, Matthias Zimmermann received from its Writing Division the Doug Timm Award in recognition of outstanding achievement in the area of film scoring. Shortly after Matthias was chosen to intern at a busy film music editing studio in Los Angeles and relocated his home studio after graduation permanently to California. Mr. Zimmermann also received the Henry Mancini Fellowship Prize at the Cinemusic International Music and Film Festival in Gstaad, Switzerland.

To refine his conducting skills, Matthias Zimmermann was a participant during 1995's summer conducting master class at Tanglewood, MA, the summer residence of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Highlights of Matthia's work include the score to the feature film "Exklusiv", recorded with the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra; two commissioned compositions for live theater, which he conducted in summer performances with chamber orchestras.

Currenly working on the movie score for Andy Attenhofer's "Suspension of Disbelief" and "R(e)Evolution", a Jeridoo Production and Boeving/Baechler movie.
