Drive on recycled plastic?

The world is looking for an alternative to fossil fuel. We have hybrids, ethanol, E85, FlexFuel, BlueTec diesel, bio-diesel and vegetable oil powered cars. Besides a pure electric vehicle or the newest French invention of a purely air powered car - none of the above are real alternatives. We either just lower the fossil fuel consumption (hybrids) or plain out burn all our foods of the world and starve one Billion people.

There are mountains of used old plastics. Check your household waste. Besides the PET, which has a great turn-around, we basically through out any plastic material. From the yogurt cup, the plastic spoon, plastic cups, plastic foil to the plastic toys from our kids. The solution is here! Turn old plastic back into fossil fuel. Not possible? In Switzerland the company PlastOil did just that with a world invention. Turning your waste into fuel and powering Thousands of homes already. With the energy saving process of producing heating oil the producers of our company want to test the plastOil as motor vehicle diesel power. Will it destroy the high-end TDI or BlueTec engine in our test fleet while driving cross country for more than 40'000 miles or could this be the future solution of all problems?

The show idea originated out of previous short segments about a Swiss teacher by the name of Louise Palmer, who developed a solar powered vehicle and drove with it around the world. (more information here)
